Penny Mitchell earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner also from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999. She has worked in pain management since 2000. She is certified in Controlled Substance Management.
Penny is nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and has worked with EmergeOrtho since February 2017.
Penny grew up in Hiddenite, North Carolina, and she continues to live in Alexander County.
