O’Malley Foot & Ankle Joins EmergeOrtho in Wilmington

On December 1, 2017, O’Malley Foot & Ankle will join EmergeOrtho, significantly expanding our expertise in the foot and ankle specialty. Dr. O’Malley will continue seeing patients at his current location: 7419 Market Street, Suite C, in Wilmington, NC. Patients will continue to make appointments through that office, which will become EmergeOrtho’s fifth Wilmington location.

Robert O’Malley, DPM, is board certified in surgery and has performed thousands of foot surgeries in his more than 15 years of podiatric practice experience. He is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and is a diplomat in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

While Dr. O’Malley is unquestionably a skilled and talented surgeon, he is known for considering surgery as one of many options for the various health issues related to heel and foot pain, as well as a range of conditions and diseases affecting those areas of the body such as ingrown toenails, bunions, injuries, corns and calluses, fractures and dislocations, issues requiring Orthotics, and pediatric deformities. Recently trained in hyperbaric medicine, Dr. O’Malley has been selected to treat wound patients at the NHRMC Wound Care & Hyperbarics facility.

A graduate of Villanova University and the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Dr. O’Malley completed a two-year podiatric surgical residency in Houston, Texas, at the Houston Podiatric Foundation.

He is currently on staff at all New Hanover Regional Medical Center campuses, Wilmington SurgCare, and Atlantic SurgiCenter, and he volunteers with the Cape Fear Medical Clinic.
